A rhythmic adventure from the rain-forest festival

 Welcome to the vibrant, rhythmic world of "Welcome to Rio." 

Tonight, we invite you to look closer at the rain-forest. Amidst the emerald leaves and the golden sun, there is a story about more than just a carnival—it is a story about finding one’s own wings. 

Our journey follows Blue, a bird who has spent his life watching the world through the silver bars of a cage. While the Sunbirds soared and the Frogs leapt with joy, Blue only knew the rhythm of the rain tapping on his roof. He dreamed of the High Canopy, yet he feared the very sky he was born to inhabit. 

As you watch tonight’s performance, you will see Blue’s world expand:  

In the Morning, he is a dreamer, confined but curious.

At Mid-Day, he finds the courage to step out, learning to climb and balance where he once feared to fly.

By Midnight, amidst the thunder and the lights of the jungle carnival, Blue discovers the truth: He was never meant to be grounded. Through the strength of our Acrobats, the grace of our Aerialists, and the heartbeat of our Tappers, we celebrate the moment fear turns into flight. We hope Blue’s journey reminds you that no matter how long the cage has been closed, the sky is always waiting.
